There were 70-90 participants in total.
My partner and I decided to assemble all participants together to do the workshop evaluation and to show how to use compost in the field.
It is even difficult to make 10 people of one association come at the meeting on time... I was again too ambitious...
Furthermore, my biggest worry was "rain"...
Once it rains, many women decide not to go out from house and even if at the time of meeting there is no more rain...
My worry came true...from 6 in the morning it rained for an hour.
The meeting was supposed to start at 8.
I really hoped that they would come...
When I arrived at the meeting place on time,
there were only 4 of them...
As I expected...
We waited for an hour...
Little and little women started coming.
We decided to start the meeting.
At first, the review : importance of waste management, diseases related to wastes and inadequate sanitation.
Next, evaluation of the workshop and suggestion for next time.
At the end, practical lesson (demonstration) : several methodes of utilisation of compost at one of participant's field (it was the closest to themeeting place).
All participated (help to cultivate a part of her field).
So did he :)
At the end of the meeting, there were about 60 women.
From now on, each woman starts using her compost at her field or sells it to someone and after the harvest, we will have another meeting to share the effects of compost.
I hope that good results come up...
Then in Oct-Nov, another workshop is planned to train compost master (formators) to diffuse the techniques to more people even after the end of my contract...
At the meeting, I asked any volunteers among participants. At least one of each association (in total 10 associations were present) raised hand. I was happy about it.
I will prepare the detail of the workshop later because above all, the work in the field right now is the priority.
However the worry is again "rain"...
In mid-May, it rained a lot like every 2 days for a week and people were saying that this year the rainy season would come earlier than usual.
But since then, it stopped and even now it rains only every 3-4days...
I am very worried about this year's harvest...
